Position: Lifeguard
Position Available: 3 Positions
Hourly wage: $17.50 per hour
Overtime: Paid at 1.5× (about $26.25 per hour) according to U.S. labor laws.
Estimated hours: About 35 hours per week (hours may vary with weather and pool use)
Job prerequisites: You must be healthy and fit enough to swim 300 yards continuously and tread water for 2 minutes using only your legs. If you are already certified through your sponsor or another provider, costs can be adjusted.
Job Descriptions:
- Guard the pool and keep swimmers safe.
- Enforce pool rules politely.
- Perform rescues and first aid/CPR if needed (with proper training).
- Keep pool area clean and organized. • Do basic water tests after training.
- Communicate daily with NJPM supervisors and give weekly updates to the property manager.
- Report any safety or maintenance issues immediately.
English Required skills: Advance (A, B+, B) Only

Transportation details: Pools are located within about 30 minutes by car from your housing. Transportation to and from work is by car through company carpool or other organized transport arranged by NJPM.
Cultural exchange activities:
We organize monthly cultural and outdoor activities such as New York City day trips, visits to regional attractions, hiking or nature trips, and social events. You will also work with American lifeguards at certain pools, giving you daily chances to practice English and learn about U.S. culture.
